We have put it in our focus to keep our inventory versatile, to make sure that we have a collection that provides to a varied motif.  One thing that remains the same through our collection is quality.  We carry quality products.  We are not your cheapest option for rentals, and that is not our goal.  When you rent from us, you can expect beautiful pieces that are noticeable, that lean into your vision, that stand out.  We are not trying to be basic, we want to be remembered.  And we think that’s the kind of events we provide to, the events that leave an impression, that feel, that are memorable.

On our website you will find our entire inventory, with product photos, pricing, and product details.  You will also find packages that we provide, our policies and procedures, and our wish-list feature (the best way to reach us).  Our wish-list works essentially like an online shopping cart for rental requests.  Click on items you’d like to book to add to your “cart”, put in your basic event details, add any notes you may have, and send it our way.   We will confirm availability and send you a quote with all your reservation details, our contract to sign electronically, and payment options.  The process is quick and simple.  Once your reservation is confirmed, you may always add to your order.  There’s no need to wait to start booking until you have all of your details finalized; you can always add to your reservation.

We have a large selection of versatile, practical, and unique pieces.  Our collection includes farm tables & benches, wine barrels & arbors, lounge furniture, accent furniture pieces, sweetheart tables & cake tables, cake plates and serving platters, candle holders and vases, and all the little details that really round out the look of your space.   Regardless of your motif, or your theme, our collection has decor that will fit your style.  

Our most popular items are our farm tables and benches.  Handmade by us.  The legs for the tables are stored under the table top, making them easy to stack and transport.  They are made from locally sourced sugar pine, with nice thick boards, the occasional knot and beautiful blues.  Our benches make a great addition to your ceremony space, and are actually pretty cozy for meal time with our farm tables.  If benches aren’t your thing, our cross back chairs, bentwood chairs, white metal chairs, or bistro chairs make a great alternative.

All of our products can be found on our website, with pricing, photos, and product details. Items can be rented a lar carte, or in packages. All of our packages can be found on our website. You can also see a list of some of our preferred vendors, our policies and procedures, and a gallery of images including our rentals.

The rental process is simple. You can browse our collection online and create a wishlist. Click the + sign to add items to your wish-list, fill in your basic details, and click to submit it to us. We will check availability, then email a proposal with your reservation details, contract and payment options. It's a quick, simple process.

Many of our items are handmade, including our farm tables, benches, barrel tops, barrel light stands, 6' pub tables, and reel top tables.
We strive to source as many local and recycled materials as possible in our builds.

When you rent from Motif, you are supporting our family. We are a husband and wife owned and run business, with two little ones that we homeschool. We get to do all the family things in harmony with running this business...and we love that.

Renting is a great resource for the environment. Reusing items is so important to sustain our planet. For example, consider renting flatware instead of using plastic utensils.

We are not your basic rental company.  No standard banquet tables and plastic folding chairs here.   Our collection is full of quality pieces that stand out.  We are not your cheapest option, that is not our goal.  We strive to carry a varied inventory that caters to each motif.

About the Owners

We are a husband and wife team, with two little ones, a dog, two cats, and some fish.  We were both born and raised in Oregon, and love where we live.  We homeschool our kiddos, and love working for ourselves.  We have really enjoyed building this business.


Why Rent?

Take advantage of our amazing decor and reasonable prices for your next event.  Planning & executing the look of a wedding, shower, party, or any event, really, takes a lot of time, energy, space, and money.  Opting to rent allows you to cut back on time spent, make your to-do list a whole lot shorter, save so much space in your house and garage before and after the event, and not break the bank.  

 


the rental process

The reservation process is super easy.  Simply fill out your wishlist with your requested items, including quantity needed of each item.  Once received, we will check availability, then email you a proposal with your available requested items, reservation details, including photos of the reserved items, our agreement form, and payment options.  Once we receive your deposit (50% of your reservation total), and signed contract, your reservation is official, and your items are held.  Once your reservation is started, you are welcome to add to your order.  Just let us know when you would like to do so, and we will confirm availability and add on all available requested items.  

We can provide delivery service if needed, but mostly do will call orders, where clients pick up and drop off their rentals themselves.  Generally speaking, we provide a four day rental period.  Our standard pick up day is Friday, the week of your event, at 11.  Our standard return day is Monday, following your event, at 11.  If an alternate day/time is preferred for your pick up and drop off’s, we are flexible, and will try to accommodate whatever works best for our client.  We will reach out the week of your event to schedule your pick up and drop off appointments if you have a will call order, or will reach out to nail down our delivery schedule.  You are welcome to let us know in advance if a certain day/time is preferred for your pick up and drop off appointments, or delivery preferences, and we will do our best to accommodate. 

Please note that because we are only at our store by appointment, it is important (and kind) to arrive promptly.  For all missed appointments, or late arrivals (25+ minutes), a $25 missed appointment fee can be expected.  In the case that you are anticipating to arrive late to an appointment, please call or text to keep us in the loop.

If delivery is needed, let us know the when’s and where’s, and we’ll send you a custom delivery quote.  We have two options for delivery: Hands Free or Hands on Deck.  Hands Free Delivery includes a fully staffed Motif Crew, arriving at pick up and drop off, responsible to unload and load the motif delivery vehicle without assistance (direction and presence of client is still required).  Our Hands on Deck Delivery, which is our standard delivery and preferred delivery method, requires just one Motif employee, and plenty of “hands on deck” to help with unloading and loading our rentals.  The Hands on Deck Delivery option is a reduced quote, requires direction and presence of the client, and plenty of hands to help in unloading our rentals at drop off, and loading our rentals at pick up.
